1. Choose a "golden line" from your novel and explain. This line should be something important, surprising or meaningful.
2. Was there an action taken by one of the characters with which you disagreed? Why did you disagree and what would you have done differently?
3. Did this book make you laugh? Cry? Cringe? Smile? Cheer? Explain the emotion(s) you felt while reading.
My independent novel for this blog was Maximum Ride: School's Out-Forever. Reading this book made me do a lot of different things. I did indeed cringe while reading this book, I smiled a lot when the good things were happening, I was cheering on Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, Angel, who all have wings and can fly, and Total, a talking dog who doesn't have wings and can't fly, and yes I admit that I cried at one part but that was because that certain part was cruel and repulsive to one of the flock. This particular book also sent a lot of emotions through me like sadness, happiness, awesomeness, and others. Anybody reading this should read the Maximum Ride series because it will blow you away!

My independant novel for The reading Games is Inkheart. While reading this book there were a lot of things that I disagreed with. One thing that I disagreed with was when the main character Meggie went to find her dad after he had been captured. He was captured by an evil man named Capricorn. meggie could have listened to her aunt's advice, but instead she decided to go on an adventure to find her dad. If I was Meggie I would have stayed with my aunt and waited for the police to come. Then I would have been safe and the police could do there job and find my dad. Inkheart was an amazing story and I highly reccomend to anyonw who likes to read!!

I am posting again about Inkheart. This book made me feel many different emotions when I was reading it. One emotion that I felt was sadness. In the beginning Meggie's father told her about a book called Inkheart in which he read aloud. When he was reading it aloud some of the characters came out of the book into real life. After the characters came out of the book Meggie's dad realized that Meggie's mother had been brought into the book, and he explained to Meggie that he was never able to get her out of the book, This made me feel sad because I thought about what my life would be like without my mom, and how Meggie was feeling at that time. Another emotion that I felt was fear. When Meggie went to find her dad she was captured by the evil and maniacal Capricorn. When she was captured she was not sure what her fate would be. I was fearful that Capricorn would harm Meggie and her father because he was a wicked man. These are just two of the many emotions that I felt while reading the book Inkheart.

The book I chose to read was Divergent. My favorite quote, which most would find odd, plays a major role in the book. Some parts are about overcoming fear, so the main character, Tris, helps her friend Four try to overcome one of his fears. She says "The only reason I haven't shot you yet is because he should be the one who gets to do it. Stay away from him or I'll decide that I no longer care." I also felt many emotions while reading the book. Some parts had touches of humor which made me laugh. Other parts were cruel and violent, such as when Peter, an initiate, stabbed Edward, another initiate, in the eye made me cringe. Overall, I felt that the book was a good balance of action, and relationships. I would recommend the Divergent series to anyone who likes dystopian fiction.

My independent book that I am reading is a nonfiction book. I is titled Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes, Time Warps, and the Tenth Dimension. This book is written by a famous physicist, Michio Kaku. Since this book is nonfiction, I don't often feel many emotions. However,there are some points that I felt very fascinated by the many theories of higher dimensions. For example, when I read the first chapter of the book, I distinctly remember when the book was talking about the fourth dimension. It said that if we are able to conclusively find evidence of higher dimensions and could enter them, it would allow us to know how the universe and Earth came to be. When I read this section, I was in pure awe of this information. It made me stop and think about what I just read. I was purely amazed. It wasn't until further in the book when I came to find out the amazement had just begun.
